Having played drums since the age o f 11, I signed my first record deal with Creation records in 1998 aged just 17 with the band 'One Lady Owner". During this time we recorded and released 3 singles (one of which was produced by Alan Moulder) and an album, recorded a Maida Vale session for Steve Lamacq and supported bands like Manson and Dark Star and played all major UK festivals including, Glastonbury, Reading, T in the Park, and V99.
After this period I toured as a session drummer for the Clint Boon Experience supporting Travis on there UK tour of 'The Man Who" album. Following that I was then employed as a stand in for Travis's drummer on there US leg of the same album supporting Oasis on their 'Standing on the shoulders of Giants tour'.
After coming back from the states I then recorded and released the album Portal with the band Gabrielles wish who were signed to Rob Grettons label Manchester Records. During this time period I also helped form the band Nylon Pylon who went on to win 'In the City in 2000 and sign what would be my 2nd record deal with London Warner the following year. Nylon Pylon released 2 singles having recorded an album at Peter Gabrielle's Real World studios and supported acts such as Gary Newman.
Over the next few years I went on to record and release two more albums with Gabrielle's wish namely 'Circa' and 'Reformer' on our own label and did some live session work for the artist 'Half Cousin who supported 'The Earlies' on a UK tour. Through this I got some studio session work with Half Cousins producer Jimmy Hogarth while at the same time being brought in to help develop artists for Universal with Nylon Pylons producer Dave McCracken.
2010 saw me join the supergroup Fre3bass comprising of Peter Hook, Mani and Andy Rourke to help the release of the album the same year where we played a sold out tour and fly out to Japan to play Summersonic festival, During the same year I played Parades de Coura festival for Peter Hook and the Light.
2012 was spent playing European festivals drumming for Maximo Park, culminating in the band headlining Kendal Calling, during the same year I also toured and recorded an album with the Tony Auton band.
2014 was spent touring the UK and Ireland with Jimi Goodwin (Doves) helping promote his album Odludek supporting the band Elbow on a UK arena tour and again getting to play all major UK festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude, Kendal Calling, Citadel and Xfm's winter wonderland at Manchester Apollo.
2015 was spent playing for Jake Evans (Bad Lieutenant) to help promote his solo album where we supported New Order both in the UK and Germany and played the Isle of White festival.
2016-2019 was spent playing drums for 70's prog rockers Atomic Rooster playing UK festivals and venues all over Europe including Norway, Germany, Italy, Belgium and the Czech Republic
After a brief stint with Rosalie Cunningham in early 2020 to help promote her debut album I decided during the lock down that I was going to follow up my 2018 Level 3 course in music tech and production with a degree in composition and production in TV, Film and Gaming and put all my years of experience to the test and go on to collaborate and create exceptional work in these areas I have loved since I was a child
